Brookland Hotel

Testimonials

Great family run hotel in a good location. Martine really looked after us. We didn’t have the cooked breakfast but their continental breakfast had a lot to offer including fresh fruit, a selection of yogurts and crumpets!
Looking forward to our next visit.

This recently refurbished establishment offers a cheery welcome from Martine (one of the owners) and has a high standard of comfort to all rooms. The Hotel is just a 5 min walk to the town were there is a variety of restaurants, pubs, shops and facilities. There is a free car park for residents and if required cycle storage can be arranged. Breakfast is continental style however, for those who prefer a cooked breakfast this can be provided at an extra cost of £5.00. All rooms are double glazed and have central heating, tea/coffee facilities, digital TV and WIFI. This is the second time I have stayed here and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Just stayed there by chance; was looking for somewhere reasonably cheap to stay. It was cheap, but it had all the attributes of somewhere more expensive. The professionalism of the friendly couple who run it was shown in the attention to detail. They are aware that a lot of their customers might be eating takeaways (workers there for a week), so they leave a plates, cutlery, wine glasses, bottle opener, cork screw. They provide tooth brushes and tooth paste, should you have forgotten, grooming kit, shoe polishing stuff etc. The kettle is on a special shelf i.e. they have thought about the lay out of even the smallest single room, to make it comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable. Theses little details show that the comfort of customers is taken seriously; I respect that.
